Lewy Body Dementia stages is a condition that causes dementia and the reason it gets is name is because of the structures that are found in the brain and known as abnormal. This of a dementia is the second most common type degenerative one found in elderly. The Lewy body dementia is also known as vascular dementia. This disease causes a person to lose his or her memory and the severe impact of this condition depends on every individual.

Lewy Body Dementia’s symptoms are often associated with the Alzheimer and Parkinson diseases as well. That is the reason that it has not yet been confirmed whether Lewy Body Dementia is a disease of its own or another symptom of the other two diseases. In this type of dementia, the cells in the brain’s outer layer, known as cortex, and in the mid-brain die.

The rest of the remaining nerve cells contain an abnormal structure that is the trademark of this disease. There are chances that this disease may also appear in the outer layer of the brain. Either way, if you are a target of this disease, it is better to get it checked at an early stage so that the worse is delayed as much as possible.

The reason that the Lewy Body Dementia is linked to other disorders of its types is because of the protein alpha-synuclein present in it. Doctors are still not sure why this protein is in the nerve cells with this particular disease. The symptoms of this disease vary from person to person. Mostly, it is seen that people with this disease have the typical Parkinsonian symptoms that include tremor, rigid muscles, lack in spontaneous movement and shuffling gait. At the early stages of the disease, there is a very mild version of these symptoms seen in a person but as the disease progresses; one can detect them more easily. Once you start to see these symptoms more obviously, you should consult your doctor to see what you can do to cure this disease as much as you can.

Other symptoms that are also seen in this disease are similar to the ones in Alzheimer’s disease. These include confusion, loss of memory and cognition. However, the primary symptom of the disease is having visual hallucinations as well as delusions and depression. Half of the symptoms of the disease are divided into the symptoms of Alzheimer and Parkinson. However, the remaining symptoms are solely its own.

Other Lewy Body Dementia symptoms can include difficulty in swallowing, repeatedly falling, dizziness, low blood pressure, erectile dysfunction, dry eyes and mouth and unexpected loss of consciousness. These symptoms can be a part of other problems as well and are often ignored as symptoms of dementia. That is the reason that a thorough checkup should be conducted if one experiences even the slightest health problem.

If you are experiencing one or more of these symptoms, there are chances that you have this disease and to tackle it, you must immediately consult your doctor to see if you are a victim of it or not.
