Just as scary as the name suggests, a “Heart Attack” is one of the commonest causes of death in humans – men and women alike. We all know there are four sections in a heart and if, the flow of the blood to any of the sections of the heart becomes blocked, a Heart Attack is caused, resulting at worst in death or at least damage of the heart muscle. Usually this is caused by obstruction of one of the coronary arteries.

According to a recent survey by the team of “Health is Wealth Organization,” it was shown that two out of four deaths are caused by malfunctioning of the heart! That’s a huge number!

Although many deaths occur as a result of a heart attack, one certainly cpuld not say there is no proper treatment for this sudden disease, especially when we are talking about advanced countries such as the USA for example, where the death rate due to heart attacks is even higher and is known there as the “leading killer.”

So the question that arises: how can this ever-increasing death rate be controlled?

Many doctors suggest that only if we were more successful in considering the Symptoms of Heart Attack, we could reduce the death rate by 50 percent!! Taking the right action at the very first sign of heart attack symptoms can save your life and limit damage to your heart. According to the doctors, treatment is most effective when started within 1 hour of the onset of symptom. Imagine how your slight action can be life-saving and likewise how your slight inaction can be fatal!

Now that we are well aware of the importance of those symptoms, let’s have a look over them, starting with the most common ones:

- Chest discomfort or pain: Usually uncomfortable pressure, pain in the center of the chest. Note that the pain or discomfort sometimes lasts for a couple of minutes, then suddenly vanishes, and then it comes back again.

- Arm ache or pain: Can be in one or both the shoulderss, backside, neck, jaw, or abdomen.

- Shortness of breath: A feeling of suffocation or as if you are not getting enough oxygen.

- Might occur with or before chest discomfort.

- Nausea: The feeling of vomiting – .

- Lightheadedness: Feeling dizzy and less energetic

- Fainting

Though many people die because of Heart Attacks, we should always keep in mind that many could be saved and would recover if they received help sooner!

keep in mind that a lot of them can be saved and recovered if they get help faster!
